MS Coast man kept hidden cameras in his home to film child sex crimes, FBI agent says
A D”Iberville man had hidden cameras throughout his home along with a camera on a tripod in his bedroom that federal authorities say he used to film himself sexually assaulting two young boys.
Sean Christopher Parol, 53, is now facing state charges of sexual battery and molestation along with a federal charge of producing child pornography for allegedly molesting two boys, now ages 11 and 12, and filming the assaults, according to FBI special agent Hillary Ladner.
.D’Iberville police first arrested Parol on the two state sex crimes charges in mid-December after he got off a plane at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport. On Jan. 7, federal agents arrested Parol on the additional federal offense.
After the initial arrest, state and federal agents obtained a warrant and seized various cell phones and laptops that belonged to Parol. A search of the devices resulted in the recovery of what the federal agent called a “voluminous” amount of footage of Parol allegedly assaulting the minors along with other child pornography.
In addition, Ladner said, authorities found hidden cameras in the living room and bathrooms of Parol’s home along with a digital tablet hanging on a wall in the bathroom that Parol used to film the crimes he committed.
D’Iberville police initiated the investigation after the parents of the two boys reported the crimes.
During subsequent forensic interviews, Ladner said, agents learned from one of the minors that Parol gave the boy electronic vapes to smoke in exchange for having sex with the child.
If convicted of all the charges, Parol could go to prison for up to life.
The investigation is ongoing.
