VP pick JD Vance to speak, Kimberly Guilfoyle tells GOP to ‘rise up’, Trump makes 3rd appearance
Former President Donald Trump made his third unannounced appearance in as many days at the Republican National Convention, following speeches from former members of his first administration including former White House trade advisor Peter Navarro and former Senior Counsellor Kellyanne Conway.
Sen. JD Vance of Ohio is giving the keynote address at approximately 9:30 p.m. CT. Vance was chosen earlier this week as Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick. He will be introduced by his wife, Usha. Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host, are also giving late-night addresses.
The theme of Wednesday’s convention is “Make America Strong Once Again.”
Shortly before the third evening of speakers got underway, several news outlets reported that President Biden had tested positive for COVID-19.
The Republican National Convention is scheduled to run through Thursday.
