Kristin Davis says her anger in one Sex and the City scene was unfortunately real.

On her podcast Are You a Charlotte?, Davis looked back on the season 2 episode titled “Chicken Dance,” which followed the group’s experience at the wedding between Miranda’s (Cynthia Nixon) interior decorator and an old friend.

During the wedding, Charlotte (Davis) has a tryst with the best man Martin and meets his dad. After Charlotte agrees to dance with the father, he gropes her, causing her to shriek. She then angrily confronts Martin about what happened, but he doesn’t believe her.

Davis said on her podcast that her reaction on the show was her “real mad face.” She claimed that the director of the episode had instructed her scene partner to “grab her ass” harder, which she said was embarrassing.

“I’m mad that I had to do it,” she said. “I’m mad that this man had to grab my butt. It’s, like, mortifying, you know?”

The And Just Like That actress said that she and the rest of the production team had been “exhausted” filming this episode, which didn’t help. She recalled a line of crew members asleep against a wall while she was shooting the scene.

“I remember thinking, like, ‘Man, we got a crazy show,'” she said. “Crazy show. Up all night long for 24 hours trying to make this craziness? Wow.”
