Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau make their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival: ‘Power couple of 2026’

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival. On Monday night, the 41-year-old singer and 54-year-old former prime minister of Canada posed for photographers at the premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris at the OKX Theater in New York City.
Perry arrived to the world premiere of her latest concert film in a vintage Lanvin gown from the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer 1987 collection. The grecian-inspired sheath dress featured elegant draping on the bodice and skirt, as well as rosette details at the neckline and waist.
Trudeau matched his girlfriend’s glamorous attire in a wing-tip tuxedo shirt and classic black tuxedo jacket.
Fans took to social media to celebrate the “power couple of 2026” and their milestone moment.
“She looks so much happier,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Everyone deserves someone who looks at them the way Justin Trudeau looks at Katy Perry,” another said.
It was a fitting debut for the couple, who began dating during Perry’s ‘The Lifetimes Tour.” Trudeau was spotted at Perry’s July 30, 2025 concert in Montréal with his daughter, Ella-Grace. Days later he was photographed on a dinner-date with the “Teenage Dream” singer.
Although the pair were captured embracing on a yacht by paparazzi in early October 2025, they went public later that month while the singer celebrated her 41st birthday in Paris.
A source close to the couple recently told Us Weekly that the pair are taking things to the next level as they approach their one-year anniversary.
“Their relationship has deepened over the past several months, and they are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary,” the source said. “They both feel it’s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.”
