17-year-old dies after shooting at Stockton house party, San Joaquin County sheriff says
A teenager died over the weekend after being shot at a house party in Stockton, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 12000 block of East Whitehouse Road.
When deputies arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the boy as Donye Teal. He was from Merced.
The sheriff’s office said witnesses told deputies that the fatal shooting happened during a large house party, and investigators believe multiple people may have been involved.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. No motive or suspect information has been released.
