National Hurricane Center monitors potential disturbance in Caribbean
Rainfall and thunderstorms continue in the central tropical Atlantic as the remainder of Gordon moves north, the National Hurricane Center said.
This system is expected to interact with a non-tropical low in the next couple of days making conditions favorable for a tropical depression or storm to re-form later in the week.
According to the NHC, a chance of development in the next seven days is 60%.
Located in the northwestern Caribbean Sea, an area of low pressure could form over the weekend.
The chance of development into early next week is possible as it moves north.
A chance of formation is 20% in the next seven days.
