Local police are investigating after two people died in deadly shootings in Oklahoma City during the holiday weekend.

According to recent reports from the Oklahoma City Police Department, just before 2 a.m. Saturday, July 5, the agency responded to a shooting call on the 1800 block of NE 7th Street.

There, officers found Laililiana Willis, 18, lying in a driveway. She was then taken to OU Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, reports say.

“The best that can be determined right now is there was a party at this location, a party made up of mostly other younger adults, younger people,” said police Sgt. Rob Robertson immediately following the incident. “Some sort of argument began, and someone started firing shots as a result of this argument, and she was unfortunately struck.”

Just under 24 hours later, at 1:18 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, another person was found shot, this time in the parking lot of a nearby complex. It was apparent that Crawford was shot during “some type of altercation,” OKCPD reports.

Jacob Crawford, 17, was taken to OU Medical Center and pronounced dead, according to authorities.

Currently, there have been no arrests. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Homicide Tip Line at 405-297-1200.
