Man found dead in roadway east of Gosford Road
Police are investigating after finding a man lying in a roadway Sunday morning in the 7900 block of Camino Media.
Officers found the man unresponsive shortly after 8 a.m., the Bakersfield Police Department reported, adding that medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
A BPD news release said evidence suggests the man may have died in a traffic incident, but that no involved vehicle, driver or witness have been located.
