Linkin Park Reunite, Debut New Singer, New Music & Announce Tour Seven Years After Chester Bennington’s Death
Seven years after Chester Bennington committed suicide, Linkin Park re-emerged today with a new singer and new music.
On a livestream today, returning members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn debuted new singer Emily Armstrong — who will share vocals with Shinoda — and drummer Colin Brittain. The hour-plus performance included the band’s new single, “The Emptiness Machine.” Linkin Park also announced a new album, From Zero, to be released on November 15.
Armstrong comes from alt-rock band Dead Sara. Brittain is a songwriter and producer who has collaborated with the likes of Papa Roach, One OK Rock and All Time Low. Original drummer Rob Bourdon “has decided to step away” from the band, according to a statement give to The Associated Press.
